I was in Kusatsu hot springs, Gunma to get enough rest in the New Year's holidays in Japan.
An ekiben (box lunch) ... Jambalaya on a super express bound for Kusatsu.
And lightly sparkling wine and cheese...
Snow was falling at Kusatsu town, Gumma.
A special dish for dinner... beef steak.
Toshikoshi soba... a traditional noodle dish eaten on New Years Eve in Japan.
A special dish prepared for the New Year... 正月のおせち
雑煮
I was on the return by a local train to Odawara via Takasaki at the very beginning of the new year.
