回鍋肉＠青蓮虎ノ門店

今日、ホテルオークラ東京での展覧会の後、近くの健康中華庵「青蓮」でランチしました。
I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant near Hotel Okura Tokyo on the way back from the exhibition today.

店の方は中国人のようでしたが、頼んだ回鍋肉はまったく四川料理風ではなく超日本風な薄味で私のような老人向きといった感じのものでした。それで、店の案内をよく読んだら、化学調味料などは使わず中国古来の香辛料だけで味付けしているらしいのです・・・それと、健康志向で塩を使っていないという感じです。普通の中華料理屋さんとは違って上品な味付けなので、この味に慣れると病み付きになりそう・・・

Twice cooked pork of Szechuan cuisine, but lightly-flavored Japanese style just for the elderly like me. I want to be there a lot.

日本の美を極める＠ホテルオークラ東京

今日、ホテルオークラ東京であったタイトルの日本近代絵画展に行ってきました。女房の友人がホテルオークラ東京の関係者ということで出入りは、玄関ロビーではなく従業員通用口？から・・・
I visited the treasured works of art collection "The pursuit of Japanese Beauty" at Hotel Okura Tokyo today. I went in and out at a staff entrance, not a hotel lobby by courtesy of my wife's friend.

展覧会場はこんな感じなんだけれど、中は撮影禁止・・・今日が最終日とあって結構な人出でした。

横山大観の夜桜はじめ、日本の美しさを追求してきた画家たちの作品を一気に見れて私としては非常にうれしい展覧会でした。

なお、付け加えておきますが、この展覧会はチャリティイベントとして企画されたもので、その収益は日本赤十字社等に寄付されるとのことですので、私も少なからず人のため、世の中のためになったということでしょうか？？

This exhibition is a charity event and Hotel Okura Tokyo will donate all of the net profit to Japanese Red Cross Society. I had the great chance to serve others and the world.

藤沢で「牛肉どまん中」売ってた！

今日のお昼前、藤沢駅前デパチカを探索しているとこんなの発見・・・
I found new box lunches when I was strolling on a basement of a department store (where foodstuffs are usually sold) around Fujisawa station today.

今日が最終日、本日限りやて・・・これは絶対に行かねばならぬと思って行ってみました。

そしたら、なんか新製品があるじゃないですか・・・ちょっと弁当にしては高いんだけどと思いつつ初登場の「米沢牛よくばり弁当」というのを買ってみました。

It's expensive for a box lunch, but I bought this gorgeous box lunch... 100% Yonezawa beef... brand-name beef.

これ、「牛肉どまん中」の牛肉煮にさらに焼肉を追加で敷き詰めたもので、牛肉だらけで付け合せが申し訳なさそうについているだけという偏屈な弁当です。牛肉好きにはたまらない、肉は柔らかく、味が全体にしみわたっていて文句なしの絶品ですね！！これやったらこの値段でも安いわ！！

It's a delicacy of the box lunches, although the price is high.

Tokyo Ham Fair 2014

I went to "Ham Fair 2014" held at Tokyo Big Sight yesterday and today.

Ham Fair 2014 was very crowded... more people than that of last year.

Meeting lots of people made me happy at the fair.

I had a good time all the day at the fair.

ハムフェア前夜祭・・・天一横浜そごう店

明日は、東京ビッグサイトでのハムフェアで朝が早いというのに横浜で定例の飲み会・・・いや、食事会です。話題はハムとは全然関係のないプロフェッショナル？な話なんだけど・・・本当は、前夜祭でも何でもないんです（タイミングがちょうど合っただけ・・・）。
I have to get up early tomorrow for Tokyo Ham Fair, but we all met up at a drinking party... a dinner today. Topics were something extraneous to ham radio.

はもの天ぷらだなんて・・・珍しい？？

いろいろあったんだけれど、食べるのに忙しく写真は無・・・最後はお茶漬け

あっという間の超満足な２時間でした。

HAM FAIR 2014 記念煎餅

東京ビッグサイトでハムフェアなるアマチュア無線のイベントが８／２３、２４の２日間開催されます。これに合わせて会場で配るノベルティ？の煎餅を作ってみました。
The Tokyo Ham Fair 2014 will be held at Tokyo Big Sight, Ariake, Tokyo on Aug 23 and 24. I have ordered senbei (rice crackers) for small gifts at the fair in this period.

フクシマジャンク（FJSK）のブースに来ていただければ、カードと交換させていただきます。

国立西洋美術館

今日、上野から草津温泉に行くついでに、上野公園にある国立西洋美術館に行ってきました。
I went to The National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo today.

展示内容は、あっと驚くアンティーク・ジュエリー・・・それも個人が収集した３００点以上の指輪です。紀元前の古代から現代まで、指輪の歴史や機能目的といったものをいっきに勉強することが出来ました。なかでも、ダイヤモンドのブリリアントな輝きと飽くなき美の追求はすばらしいものですね・・・目の保養になりましたです。

The rings, antique jewelries from the Hashimoto Collection... more than 300 items of jewelries.

国立西洋美術館には、次のようなものも常設展示されています・・・こちら、写真撮影可。

In addition, some permanent exhibitions in the museum... photographing is permitted.

ご存知、ロダンの考える人（拡大作）・・・

The Thinker (enlarged Version) by Auguste Rodin...

絵画や版画などとは違って、個人的にはちょっと興味があり、ひと味違うものを楽しませていただきました。
