大晦日＠草津温泉

大晦日の今日、上野から特急草津３号で草津温泉へ・・・
I was going to Kusatsu hot spring resort from Ueno on the limited express train on New Year's Eve.

指定席券発売開始日当日に行くも、普通車指定席は既に満席で、しかたなくグリーン車の指定席券購入・・・ま～、高いだけあって席は悠々だし快適でした。

発車早々、上野駅で買った駅弁で腹ごしらえ・・・一番人気の駅弁、ちょっと張り込んでみました。

I bought a reserved-seat ticket of the first class car because the ordinary car was full... relaxed and comfortable.

Immediately after departure from Ueno I had a box lunch bought at Ueno station... the most popular but expensive.

２時間半ほどで長野原草津口に到着、そこから更にバスで草津町へ・・・

１週間前に積雪７０ｃｍの雪が降ったそうで、道路脇のあちこちに大きな雪だまりが残っています・・・と書いている現在、外は大粒の雪がしんしんと降ってきました。

途中、ちちや本店で温泉饅頭を買って旅館に着くなり温泉気分満喫・・・

ほどなく夕食に・・・ちゃんと年越しそばも付いておりました。

明日は、一日中雪らしいから温泉三昧ですな・・・年の瀬、一年の最後が雪を見ながら温泉とは、いい締めくくりになりました。

It was the day close to the end of a year and I had good time to get in a hot spring enjoying a snowy landscape.
