Toso, New Year's sake （屠蘇）

I had toso at a Japanese café in Kamakura today.

Toso is a Japanese New Year's sake containing various spices and drunk in celebration of the New Year.

（注）鎌倉小町にある 和cafe & ギャラリー 伊砂・・・オーナーが私と同じ京都出身で、我々と同年代で、ちょっと小粋な店です。和服、伝統的な調度品、三味線なんかに興味がある人にはお勧めですが、それ以外の人は馴染めないかも？。今日は、新年のあいさつに行ってきました。

鎌倉の住まいから公共交通機関（バス）で２０分足らずで着いちゃうので、ちょっと息抜きによし、京都の話で昔に思いをはせるもよし・・・でなかなか良い場所です。今度（１／２０）神田阿久鯉さんの講談会があるので予約してきました・・・

New Year QSO Party 2018

群馬県吾妻郡草津町からQSOパーティに参加してみました。昨年の大晦日から草津温泉に温泉しに来ていたのですが、１月２日の日中、草津運動茶屋公園道の駅の展望デッキから電波を出してみました・・・
I had fun participating in New Year QSO Party at the observation deck of the roadside rest area in Kusatsu hot spring resort, Gunma on Jan. 2nd.

I was on the air with ham radio on 70cm (430MHz) FM and 23cm (1.2GHz) FM there. And an unanticipated situation occurred... I worked with ham radio operators in Katsushika, Tokyo and Nerima, Tokyo clearly. I would like to explain a situation on maps. Distance from Kusatsu to Katsushika is about 150 km (95 miles)

（注）周りを浅間山、榛名山、赤城山という険しい山々に囲まれていますが、山岳回折で東京近辺とVUの電波で交信できます。

My running gears are ICOM ID-51 (5W) with a whip antenna and ALINCO DJ-G7 (1W) with a whip antenna. These contacts were apparently phenomena due to diffraction caused by mountain ridges. I would like to try again if there are any chances.

I had lunch at a restaurant serves wine and grills in Machida today.
Salad, soup... and Marmorelle Bianco from Italy.
I have drunk my last glass of wine at the restaurant this year.（今年の飲み納めでした）

（注）マルモレッレ・ビアンコ・・・イタリアのテヌーテ・ルビーノ社のシャルドネ主体の白ワイン。フルーティな香りが特徴で、まろやかでバランスの良い味わいが楽しめる。

Sautéed yellowtail with olives and anchovy sauce... has a strong flavor and salty taste. Winter yellowtails have plenty of fat and goes with anchovy sauce...

It goes with Marmorelle Bianco with delicate aroma of fruits and fresh acidity... yummy!!
脂ののった寒鰤にちょっと塩気のきいたアンチョビソースがよく合いますし、さらに、フルーティでまろやかな白ワインが食を進めてくれますね！

Grilled pork jowls meat（豚トロのグリル）

Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière from Bourgogne France.

（注）マランジュ プルミエ クリュ ラ フシエール・・・マランジュはフランス ブルゴーニュ地方にあるブドウ生産地で、赤ワインは、ほとんどがピノノワールで作られる。タンニンを多く含み、スパイシーでフルボディのしっかりした味わいが楽しめる。

Grilled pork jowls meat with cream sauce mixed with yuzu and white miso. Yuzu and white miso have accented peculiar flavor and sweet taste.

It goes with spicy full bodied red wine... yummy!!
豚トロのグリルに柚子の酸味のあるアクセントが効いた独特の風味と白味噌の甘味を活かしたクリームソースがよく合いますし、これに、スパイシーでフルボディのしっかりした味わいのマランジュの赤ワインがいい雰囲気を醸し出してくれますね！

I was going to join a year-end gathering at a pizzeria "Ciao Bella" in Machida, Tokyo yesterday. We are former colleagues of mine from the same company.

Salad... and Grecanico Terre Siciliane from Sicily Italy.

（注）グレカニコ・・・イタリアシチリア産の白ブドウの品種で、ほどよい酸味と地中海のミネラルを感じさせるすっきりした味わいの白ワインになる。

Grilled swordfish with balsamic tomato sauce... balsamic vinegar's complex taste.
Balsamic tomato sauce is used to enhance grilled fish dishes.

It goes with Grecanico with delicate aroma of fruits and fresh acidity... yummy!!
焼き魚に酸味のきいたバルサミコ酢とトマトソースがよく合いますし、これに、ほどよい酸味ながらすっきりした味わいのグレカニコが相性抜群ですね！
