Butter Roasted Chinese Yams with Soy Sauce (長芋醬油バターステーキ)

 My homemade dish called "Butter Roasted Chinese Yams with Soy Sauce".


Recipe : 2 servings
300 grams nagaimo/yamatoimo・・・Chinese yam
pinch salt and black pepper
1 clove garlic minced
2 tbs. soy sauce
1 tbs. sake
1 tbs. sesame oil
2 tsp. sugar
10 grams butter

***toppings***
dried bonito flakes・・・鰹節
dried green seaweed・・・青のり
green onions

(注)tbs.=table spoon (大さじ) tsp.=tea spoon (小さじ)

【筆者感想】
お酒、ワインのアテ(つまみ)です。お好み焼きに使った長芋の残りで作りました。香ばしくって美味いです。

It is the 7th anniversary of the restaurant "街角グラス" in Machida opening.
I had dinner at the restaurant serves wine and grills today.
The first drink... Chablis Sainte Claire from Bourgogne, France.

Grilled Sea bass (鱸(すずき)のグリル)

  I had lunch at a restaurant serves wine and grills in Machida today.

Albarino... great texture and acid... very attractive wine... goes well with seafoods!!

Poke Bowl ( Sushi Bowl )

  My homemade dish called "Poke Bowl".


Recipe : 3 servings
3 cups of cooked rice・・・茶碗軽く3杯
2 tbs. rice vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
200 grams tuna, salmon and etc. sashimi・・・スーパーで売っている刺身盛パック
1/2 cucumber diced
1 avocado
2 tsp. sesame seeds
2 tsp. sesame oil

***topping***
green onions
nori seaweed
daikon radish shredded・・・刺身に付いてくる褄(つま)です
wasabi paste

(注)tbs.=table spoon (大さじ) tsp.=tea spoon (小さじ)

Directions :
1. Place the rice in a bowl and add salt, rice vinegar and sugar. Stir until thoroughly combined.
2. In a small bowl place the cucumber along with the sesame oil, sesame seeds and 2 tsp. of rice vinegar.
3. Spoon the cucumber onto the rice. Arrange the sashimi and avocado on top of the rice. Sprinkle with green onions and nori strips.

【筆者感想】
すし飯(酢飯)の作り方はウェブにいろいろ出ているので参考にする方が良いかも(笑)・・・ここに出ているのは米国人が簡単に作った酢飯の例です。刺身盛パックを買ってくれば超簡単美味しい刺身ボウルが出来ます!!

Fresh Whitebait Bowl (生しらす丼)

 I had lunch at a seaside seafood restaurant "魚見亭 Uomitei" serves fresh seafood with a superb view.


Izu Peninsula and Mt. Fuji seen from "魚見亭 Uomitei" is a majestic sight.



テラス席より片瀬海岸からはるか水平線まで見渡せます・・・もちろん、富士山、伊豆半島、伊豆大島もバッチシです・・・昼間から潮の香りとビール・・・で、定番の生しらす丼。
This is my lunch "fresh whitebait bowl(生しらす丼)"... baby anchovies topped on rice, miso soup and Japanese pickles... yummy!!
