An Oden restaurant "大船おでんセンター別館和" in Ofuna, Kamakura

I had Oden for lunch at an Oden restaurant in Ofuna, Kamakura today.

今日、大船駅近くの大船おでんセンター別館和（なごみ）にランチを食べに行ってみました。スナック、バー、居酒屋が建ち並ぶ仲見世通りから少し入った一角の２階にあって、昼間、素面（しらふ）では入りにくい玄関のつくりですが・・・

Oden is a Japanese dish consisting of several ingredients such as boiled eggs, daikon(radish), and processed fishcakes stewed in a light, soy-flavored broth.

An oden set lunch...

Had enough and yummy!!
これは、安い、美味い、贅沢・・・で満腹間違いなし！！

A stroll around Gokurakuji-temple （極楽寺裏山）

I took a stroll around Gokurakuji-temple today.
神奈川県道３２号藤沢鎌倉線の大佛坂切通手前の打越から県道をそれて車一台しか通れないような狭い道を行くと極楽寺の裏山（鎌倉山から大仏裏山に繋がる峰）に入ります（地図①）。

Tsukikage-jizo known as the guardian deity of children.
民家がまばらな舗装されている山道をしばらく行くと鎌倉時代の伝承の残るお堂がある月影地蔵に出ます（地図②）。

Gokurakuji-temple.
更に下って行くと、有名な極楽寺です（地図③）。

The famous Japanese sweets shop "力餅家"... been around for a long time...
駅前のちょっとした広場で休憩してから成就院の横を通って赤福似の江戸時代からの製法を守って造られた力餅を売っている力餅家へ・・・（地図④）

力餅家前の道標には寛政三年（１７９１年）と記されているので、約２３０年前の江戸時代のものですね・・・

Sakanoshita beach...
ベーグルで有名な「なみまちベーグル」の横を通って坂ノ下海岸へ・・・（地図⑤）

Goryoujinja-shrine...
ここから長谷寺に向かったのですが、途中御霊神社に寄り道（地図⑥）

Hasedera-temple...
そして最後の長谷寺・・・ちょっと休憩しながら力餅で腹ごしらえ・・・（地図⑦）

Good exercise but very tired...
結構いい運動になりました・・・あぁ疲れた・・・

American sushi rolls

I had lunch at an American style sushi restaurant near Odakyu-Sagamihara station in Sagamihara yesterday. It is located along Kanagawa Prefecture Route 51.

California Roll, Salmon Skin Roll and Vege Roll... yuuuummyyyy!!

反時計回りにカリフォルニアロール、サーモンスキンロールとベジタブルロール・・・これが本場？アメリカの寿司や！！
人気のロールをハーフで３種類頼んでみたんだけれど、アメリカで寿司を食っている気分になりますね・・・この店、品数も豊富だし、いろいろ選んでアレンジしてもらうのがお奨め。
（注）カリフォルニアロール・・・カニカマとアボカドが入っているのが特徴で米国版巻き寿司の代表格、、米国の人はみんな知っている。
サーモンスキンロール・・・サーモンスキンとは炙った鮭の皮のことで、私ゃ魚の皮はあまり食べないのだけれど、これは別・・・パリパリしていて超美味！
ベジタブルロール・・・アボカドにキュウリとゴボウの食感が何とも言えませんね。

I will be there again in the near future...

Ozoni / Japanese traditional soup dish （白味噌雑煮膳）

I had lunch at a Japanese café in Kamakura today.

（注）鎌倉小町にある 和cafe & ぎゃらりー 伊砂・・・オーナー夫妻が私と同じ京都出身で、我々と同年代で、ちょっと小粋な店です。和服、伝統的な調度品、三味線なんかに興味がある人にはお勧めですが、それ以外の人は馴染めないかも？。

The tutelary shrine for neighbors... 熊野神社、鎌倉手広地区の鎮守社

The old temple next to the tutelary shrine... 飯盛山青蓮寺（はんじょうざんしょうれんじ）９世紀に山を切り開いた谷戸に造られた由緒ある寺

The oldest shrine in Kamakura... 鎌倉最古、６世紀創建の龍口明神社、新鎌倉山住宅地の中にあります。

It is an event to pray for safety and peace for the year by visiting a shrine or temple for the first time since the start of a new year...
