洛星高校ハンドボール部ＯＢ会

洛星高校ハンドボール部ＯＢ会が１１月２４日に東京駅八重洲地下街にある「海賓亭」で行われました。洛星ハンドボールの黄金期を築いた１０期から１３期のメンバー７名が集まりました。
An alumni meeting of a handball club of Rakusei high school was held at a Japanese seafood restaurant near Tokyo station on Nov. 24.

昔話と近況報告に話が弾み、心行くまで酒と海鮮会席料理を楽しみました。
Formally arranged dinner to enjoy sake having great chats.

ハンドボール部の指導者であった小西先生を囲んで、近いうちに、またいっぱいやろうぜということでお開きとなりました・・・海賓亭の玄関で記念写真を撮ったのですが、残念ながら写っていませんでした・・・念のため二回撮ってもらったんだけどね～現地で確認しなかったのがまずかったです！かなり酔っぱらっていましたから？反省！

電気通信大学４４Ｔ同窓会

１１月２３日と２４日の一泊二日で静岡県伊東市「伊東小涌園」にて電気通信大学昭和４４年応用電子工学科入学者の同窓会が行われました。
I attended my university class reunion held at a Japanese style hotel in Ito hot spring resort, Shizuoka Japan on Nov. 23 and 24.

（注）電気通信大学同窓会では卒業生を卒業年次で管理していますが、この４４Ｔ同窓会は、昭和４４年入学者で組織されています。これは、通常なら４年間在学で４８年卒業（４８Ｔ）となるのですが、学業が好きで４年で卒業していない人が大勢？いるためです。なお、４年で卒業した人は、公式（大学同窓会）には４８Ｔを使う必要があると思われます。なお、応用電子工学科のＴはＴｅｃｈｎｏｌｏｇｙの頭文字です。

入学者５６名のうち、参加者は１２名、故人が７名、行方不明が１２名ですから、生存率は８４％（行方不明者は生死不明なのでカウントしていません）と世間並？
続いて、宴会の料理の数々・・・

宴会中に各自の近況報告があって、その後は、カラオケ・・・
And karaoke...

夜遅くまでカラオケが続き、面白い写真が多々ありますが、各自の尊厳と個人情報保護の観点から、掲載は控えました・・・（笑）
なお、次回は４年後の東京オリンピックの年とのこと、、皆さん、それまで元気に頑張りましょう！！
Looking forward to it again next time... the next reunion will take place in 2020 (the year of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics)

I had lunch at a restaurant serves wine and grills in Machida today.

Beaujolais Nouveau, red wine made from Gamay grapes from France.

And salad...

Deep fried pork back ribs... grilled with bread crumbs and mustard.

Highly seasoned pork back ribs and highly flavored... very yummy !!

I had lunch at a Japanese seafood restaurant in Fujisawa yesterday.

It is made with chopped fatty tuna with grated yam, mixed vegetable tempura and miso soup.
And then a bowl of rice topped with chopped fatty tuna and grated yam.

A thick mixed vegetable tempura... it is called "kakiage" in Japanese (deep-fried vegetable strips).

Raw chopped tuna is popular in Japan and I especially like tuna... and kakiage... yummy !
（注）中落とは背骨の脇の肉のことだけど、魚を生で食べる習慣のない外人には違いが判らないと思うし、中落を現した英語はないですね・・・肉の部位を説明すると長ったらしくなりますしね・・・

I had dinner at an Italian restaurant in Kamakura last night.
Rosso Racines Trinchero and a-iuto Trinchero from Italy.
（注）どちらも、トリンケーロのワインで、ロッソラシーヌは深い味わいの辛口の赤ワインで、アユートはしっかりした親しみやすい味わいの辛口の白ワインです。

That goes well with cocktail sauce... yummy !

I went to Terrace Mall Shonan in Tsujido, Fujisawa on the way from work today.
（注）辻堂にある横浜地方法務局湘南支局で用事を済ませた帰りにテラスモール湘南に寄りました

And I had lunch at a Hawaiian fast-food restaurant in the mall.

Ahi poke bowl with fresh vegetables...

Poke is a raw fish salad served in Hawaiian cuisine. Ahi poke is generally made with tuna. As for ahi poke in the restaurant raw tuna is served over rice... ahi poke and a bowl of rice. And raw tuna with soy sauce is very similar to Japanese sashimi... of course very delicious !
