藤沢でちょっとばかし有名な関西うどんの店「里のうどん」村岡本店に行ってみました・・・念のため申し添えますが、汁の濃いソバは置いてません・・・ところがですよ、焼きそばがあるというではないですか？
即決で注文してみました・・・店長曰く「ソバはないんで、うどんで提供します・・・」だってよ！
これが、今まで食べたことがない、、どこにもないという、一度食べたらクセになりそうな美味さ！！
バラ丼しかり、この店の商品はオリジナリティ高く、、感心しますね！それにしても、いつ行っても満員です！！

Slices of raw fish and fried oysters... chopped raw horse mackerel and raw sardin, winter yellowtail and tuna sashimi are high-quality, fresh and yummy... and fried oysters are now in season... have a rich flavor !!

今日、近所の老人が集まって、相模健康センターでカラオケ新年会を行いました。相模健康センターのバスが迎えに来てくれて、専有バスで一路座間市にある相模健康センターへ・・・
We, a karaoke group of the neighborhood senior citizen's club went to the Sagami Health Promotion Center in Zama to sing at karaoke today.

到着後、まず一風呂浴びてから昼食・・・
We had lunch after taking a bath...

一応、刺身と天ぷらの入った弁当
A bento (box lunch) with rice, grilled fish, sashimi and tempura...

それで、カラオケの方はというと、こんな感じ・・・

温泉とカラオケでカラオケグループ・メンバーの親睦を図ることができ、非常に有意義な新年会でした。
It was very significant for the New Year's Karaoke party with the spa to promote mutual friendship among the members of  our club.

It is a big lunch, magnificent and delicious!!... Beef lovers must be overjoyed!!

Shrimp paste fritters with broccoli in a chili mayo sauce.

A chili mayo sauce goes well with shrimp paste fritters and gives me an appetite.

今月のアレンジコーヒーのオーレぜんざい・・・コーヒーを飲みながら正月気分が味わえるという一石二鳥の品で、めちゃ楽しい気分になっちゃいます？。

今日、大船駅近くの蕎麦ふるかわでランチしました。ちょっと正月気分がまだ抜けきらないせいか、つけ揚げ餅そばなるものを選んでみました。
I had lunch at a buckwheat noodle shop in Ofuna today.
Buckwheat noodle and fried rice cakes and it makes me feel that I am in the New Year.

これは、ちょっと面白い気分になりますね・・・蕎麦は冷たいんだけれど、揚げ餅が入ったそばつゆは温かいんですよ！・・・もりそばでもなし、温かいそばでもなし、ちょっと中途半端な気もするけど、揚げ餅がアクセントになって、餅好きにはたまらないです。

It is an interesting idea... cold soba (buckwheat noodle) and hot soba soup with rice cakes. I like it very much because I am a lover of rice cakes...

（注）軽くスモークすることによる食感がベリーグッドです。カリフォルニアはナパが有名ですが、モントレーでもワインを作っているんですね。米国在任中、ナパもモントレーも行きました。

New Year QSO Party 2017

群馬県吾妻郡草津町からQSOパーティに参加してみました。昨年の大晦日から草津温泉に温泉しに来ていたのですが、今日２日の日中、草津運動茶屋公園道の駅の展望デッキから電波を出してみました・・・今年は、ちょっと都合つかずで３日に相模原に帰るので、２日のみの運用です。
I had fun participating in New Year QSO Party at the observation deck of the roadside rest area in Kusatsu hot spring resort, Gunma on Jan. 2nd.

展望デッキからは、南東の方向に榛名山が見え、まわりが山に囲まれている場所です。

それで、この場所からの過去の運用で、ここから埼玉県南部、東京都心、千葉西部、神奈川東部と４３０MHｚで交信出来るのが分かっているので、今日も、その方面を狙って運用してみました。ところがですよ、想定外のとんでもないことが起こりました。ＤＶ(Digital Voice)モードのシンプレックスで千葉県富津市の局と５９－５５でＱＳＯが成立したんです。ＤＶモードはＦＭモードよりも距離は伸びないと思っていたのですが、状況によってはＦＭモードよりはるかに鮮明・・・ただ、ノイズかすかすではＦＭモードに軍配は上がるけどね・・・だということが分かりました。この状況を地図で説明します。
I was on the air with ham radio on 70cm (430MHz) FM and DV mode (simplex) there. And an unanticipated situation occurred... I worked with a ham radio operator in Futtsu, Chiba on DV simplex mode clearly. I would like to explain a situation on a map. Distance from Kusatsu to Futtsu is about 190 km (120 miles)

青マークが草津運動茶屋公園道の駅で運用場所です。周りを浅間山、榛名山、赤城山という険しい山々に囲まれています。

使用機材が、ICOM　ＩＤ－５１に付属のホイップアンテナなので、正直よく飛んでくれたと思います。
この交信は、明らかに榛名山の稜線による山岳回折現象と思われますが、見通し外の所との遠距離通信ということで非常にスリリングなもので、これからも機会があればまたやってみたいと思います。
My running gear is ICOM ID-51 (5W) with a whip antenna. This contact was apparently phenomena due to diffraction caused by mountain ridges. I would like to try again if there are any chances.
