Chili con carne (チリコンカン)

 My homemade dish called "Chili con carne".

(注)スペイン語で「肉入り唐辛子」の意味で、代表的なテクスメクス料理だが、主に米国で食されているようです。


Recipe : 4 servings
200 grams can beans・・・ミックスビーンズ缶詰
200 grams minced beef and pork
1 onion chopped
1 carrot chopped
1 garlic clove finely chopped
1 tbs. olive oil
400 grams can chopped tomatoes・・・カットトマト缶
2 tbs. ketchup (tomato sauce)
1 tsp. nam pla (fish sauce)・・・醤油でも可
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce・・・ウスターソース
~50 ml red wine・・・白ワインでも可
1 tsp. honey・・・砂糖でも可
3 grams chicken stock (consomme)
10 grams spice mix for tacos・・・これがキモ(必要なスパイス全部入り)
1 chili red pepper・・・アジメコショウが好み
basil and/or parsley

(注)tbs.=table spoon (大さじ) tsp.=tea spoon (小さじ)

Directions :
1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan... add garlic and chili red pepper and stir-fry till it comes to soften
2. Add minced meat and spice mix and stir-fry till it comes to color.
3. Add onion and carrot and stir-fry till it comes to soften.
4. Add beans and stir-fry till all simmered off.
5. Add tomatoes and seasonings and stir-fry. After simmering gently, the saucy mince mixture should look thick, moist and juicy.
6. Dish up basil and/or parsley if you like
