草津温泉がHOT

ゴールデンウィーク後半に、骨休めのため？草津温泉に来ています。臨時特急草津８３号は満席、あっという間の３時間で草津温泉中心街に到着・・・いつもより１時間早く午後２時半ころ旅館に到着しました。
I'm in Kusatsu hot springs to get enough rest in the latter half of Golden Week (early-May holiday season in Japan). The special limited express "Kusatsu 83" run during the tourist seasons was full and got to Kusatsu hot springs in three hours earlier than usual.

それに、軽く一杯・・・最近は、こんな感じでワインが楽しめるんですね・・・

それで、草津白根神社に健康祈願のお参り・・・神社の周りは御神木のシャクナゲが満開で見ごろでした。

桜もほらこのとおり、まだまだ見ごたえのある状態です。
And cherry blossoms...

新生なった熱の湯でイベントが行われていて、湯畑の周辺はすごい人でした。

There was a big crowd around central Kusatsu hot springs because of a special planned event.

ただ残念ながら、白根山が火山活動（噴火）の警戒レベルにあるらしく、白根山のレストハウスも駐車場も閉鎖されているとのこと・・・今日、ニュースで知ったのですが、箱根も火山活動が活発化しているそうだから、何か不気味ですね！・・・無線の移動運用は中止して、明日はちょっと変わったところに言ってみようと思っています・・・乞うご期待？
Unfortunately, Mt. Shirane is in volcanic activity and the rest house and parking lots are closed around Mt. Shirane.
